House Rules and FAQ

    • In order to promote a peaceful escape during your stay, the cabins do not come equipped with televisions.  However, Televisions with DVD players are available for rent at the front desk (please note that these units can only be used to watch DVDs as there is no satellite signal in the cabins).
    • There is a limited number of TV’s available.
    • Our property does not have laundry facilities.
    • Wireless Internet is available in and around the lodge. Please inquire at check-in.
    • Our remote location may often limit cell phone reception.  A landline is always available.
    • Our cabins do not have air-conditioning. Oscillating and/or ceiling fans are provided. For the most accurate weather information, you may contact our front desk. A/C units are available to rent.
    • Our Country Market is open 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
    • Housekeeping. Your cabin will be freshened up between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm daily.
    • Housekeeping will refresh the cabin after the 3rd night of your stay.
    • The Lodge is open 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday – Wednesday and 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday and Saturday.
    • A 1-night deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure your reservation.  Single night stays must be booked by calling the Lodge at (928)203-7633. Holidays require a 3-night minimum stay.
    • Check-in: 3:00pm  Check-out: 11:00 am
    • Specific cabins can be requested, but not guaranteed.  We will do everything in our power to accommodate your requests.
    • Quiet hours begin at 9pm. This is a county ordinance. 
    • Cash and all major Credit Cards (Visa, Master Card, and American Express) are accepted.
    • Cash is not accepted for reservations, but is accepted in the Market.
    • Note that not all units are capable of accepting the AC unit.

• Pets are welcome in cabins 1 (Julia),6 (Sonoran Blue), 17 (Cabbage White),   and 18 (Dreamy Duskywing). 

• Guest may bring their furry friends:
( Dogs Only no Cats) Don Hoel’s charges $50.00 per pet , limit 2 dogs per cabin.

• Please do not leave your dog in the Cabins unattended.

• NO pets are allowed to be left attended, if pets are left unattended we have the right to terminate the reservation without a refund.

• Pets must be on a leash at all times and each guest is responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

• Guests that bring an unauthorized pet will be charged $250.00 cleaning fee.

• Guest’s are responsible for all property damages and/or personal injury resulting from their pet. Guest’s hold harmless Don Hoel’s Cabins/ Canyon Market & Cafe its owners, staff and operator from all liability and damage suffered as a result of any guest’s pets. Don Hoel’s reserves the right to charge guest’s account to compensate for damages to staff or the property.

  • In order to preserve the pristine environment,  we are a NON-smoking property.
  • No fire pits allowed on property. 
  • “No Shows” will be charged for the entire reservation.
  • Single Night bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking, and are not cancellable.
  • Single night stays are non-refundable.
  • Single Cabin cancellations require a 14 day notice prior to the scheduled arrival date. For reservations of 2 or more nights, if a cancellation is made less than 14 days before the arrival date, you are responsible and will be charged for the entire reservation, less any nights we are able to re-rent.  In the event that we are able to re-rent your entire reservation, only a $30.00 fee will be assessed.
  • Holidays and Multi-Cabin booking cancellations require a 30 day notice prior to the scheduled arrival date. If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the arrival date, you are responsible and will be charged for the entire reservation, less any nights we are able to re-rent.  In the event that we are able to re-rent your entire reservation, only a $30.00 fee will be assessed (per cabin).
  • Large Group cancellations require a 90 day notice prior to the scheduled arrival date. If a cancellation is made less than 90 days before the arrival date, you are responsible and will be charged for the entire reservation, less any nights we are able to re-rent.  In the event that we are able to re-rent your entire reservation, only a $30.00 fee will be assessed (per cabin).
  • Don Hoel’s has the right to refuse service or cancel any reservation if deemed necessary.
